K Werner's Color Inspiration #8

Since my favorite color combination recently is orange and blue I had to try out Kristina Werner's color challenge. KWerner color challenge I love how vibrant these colors are and yes, those are images from my Cornish Heritage Farms Nature Silhouettes again. I warned you that I'm going to have a hard time staying away from that set. I stamped the flowers in Versamark and then embossed with white embossing powder. These colors make me happy so I thought the "happiness" sentiment from my Sale-A-Bration rub-ons would be appropriate. My first impression of these colors is that they are "boy colors" or maybe football team colors (War Eagle! I do live in Auburn after all, and Southerners take their football seriously) so I decided to go the other way and try to make a flowery, girly kind of card. I am pleased with the result!  I am really loving orange right now. (I think I may have mentioned that before).  Orange is so fun. Do you know what else is fun? These shoes. I think I need them. I would look fierce! I actually got whistled at last night by a guy driving by in a blue pick-up truck as I was walking into Wal-Mart. I decided the guy must've been mocking me since I was definitely not looking my best with spit up on my shirt and hair wet and stringy from having just been drenched by a torrential downpour, but I bet if I had these shoes people really would whistle. ;) Here's wishing you slammin' orange shoes or whatever else your little heart desires for Mother's Day this weekend. Have a good one!! siggy 001

Okay, I forgot to mention that something must be in the air on being whistled at. Tonight, while pulling out of McD's (for ice cream) with all three of my kiddos in my Focus wagon I was SERIOUSLY whistled at by the "guy" (how young?) in the car beside me. I was kinda like, "Are you makin' fun uh me?" Anyways, thought it was a funny comparison with your story.

Hi Gill,

Just wanted to say how much I love your card. Especially the flowers..they are magnificent!!

Love the shoes too. I so wouldn't look any good in them...but they still look 'slammin' (definitely) ;-).

Have a great weekend.
Sam.

...Ooops. HUGE apologies for spelling your name wrong. My neighbour is Gill, pronounced Jill...and I get them mixed up all the time (stupid hey?).

SORRY!
Sam.

Cute! And yes, good feminine twist on the color combos - and on being in the random ten!

Jill,

I was so thinking of how I could incorporate college football into my card. My would be a Gator, of course. Auburn would be my next pick. Several family members played football for Auburn. The Auburn-Florida game is a HUGE event in our family!

Wonderful card! Hey, it takes a lady of true beauty to look good with spit-up on them and you are one of the few that can pull it off! I want to you run after the boys in those shoes!!!!!

First of all, I freakin' LUV the shoes!! If I knew that I wouldn't break a leg in them -they'd be mine....First of all, again, your creation is awesome- I love how you embossed in white and I am probably going to have to do that!
